12:59 am - The Extra-Credit Card
For the past few months, I've logged on to the credit card company's website to pay my balance.  It states a balance of $28.37 for this month, but the current balance I can pay is $0.00.  How is this possible?  I'll tell you.

My online statement always tells how much has been put on my card for the current month.  Even if I pay it, it still states having the same balance.  I didn't realize this at first so I would forget if I paid off the card or not and because the balance would still be stated, I would pay that amount.  Making a one time payment, I can choose from paying the minimum amount, the current amount, or a specified amount.  If I've paid off the card, the balance will show on the previous page but when you navigate to make the payment, the current amount will say $0.00.  I thought this was just a glitch so I would specify the balance shown on the other page and pay that.

Now the credit card company owes me money.  I don't know how much because the website doesn't tell me.  But for several months now, I haven't had to make my payments.  I never have much more than $30 on the card at any one time, but still I don't think many people can say that the credit card company owes them  If only I could charge them interest :P

For anyone that thought my last post was confusing, here's the short version:

I upgraded my computer. It became confused and deleted half of my data. All my videos are safe but I lost all of my pictures, emails, and other personal things. Thanks to a program I found, I should be able to recover some of it, but it won't be named so I have to sort through everything to figure out what it is.

In good news, I did pass my MCP. Now I need to pass my A+ and hopefully will be able to get a better job after that.

In preparations for Vista, I got a new hard drive. The combination of Vista, my motherboard, and me having 3 drives meant that in Vista, I could not see more than 2 drives at a time. My dad and I drove to Fry's yesterday cause they had a really cheap sata hard drive that would let me get 3 drives to run in Vista.

So last night in between my studies for my MCP test, I worked on installing the drive and getting everything set up. But thanks to my motherboard, it became confused between my new drive and it's new connection, and my older drives and their old connection. When I told Windows to format my new drive before Windows was installed on it, my motherboard told it that one of my older drives was the new drive. This caused Windows to format my drive that had all of my documents, pictures, music, saved game files, and copies of software I use. Luckily, I chose to format the drive quickly so it merely deleted the partition's directory of files instead of actually deleting files.

I now have Windows set up on the new drive, but I have to pull the information that's been lost on my old one. Right now I have a program running that is recovering all the files off of the drive. The problem is there's no file directory so it has no idea what the names and locations of the files are. In 6 hours it will be done and I'll have all of my files with randomly numbered names that I get to go through to find my data. I'm sure I won't be able to get back my saved game information, but I should be able to get back my pictures, music, and documents. I'll just have to rename each one.

I better pass my MCP today so I can have some extra time to recover these files. It's not going to be very fun :(

10:16 pm - Driving in 2006
I just compiled my mileage statistics from the past year and here is what I found out.

I averaged just over 23 miles per gallon getting as high as 32mpg and as low as 18mpg.

The average price I paid per gallon was $2.65 with the highest price being $3.13 and the lowest, $1.99.

I filled up 55 times meaning I was at the gas station a little over once a week. 12 times at Chevron, 8 at 76, and 35 times at Shell.

All in all I drove 12,207 miles and spent $1,405.89 in gas.

Yay for 2006 :)

What is the coolest thing I have ever seen? This!

It's a scope that uses GPS, a compass, and an accelerometer to display what the object is that you are looking at in the night sky! You can also tell it what you want to find and it will point arrows as to what it is! I don't do alot of star gazing, but this would make things so much easier when I do and it makes it so much easier. If it weren't for the $400 pricetag, I would already have it. Maybe I'll just pass up my chance to buy a 360.

Tycho and Gabe made their sons dress up as a Moogle and a Crocolisk. I have so much more respect for them now. That is soooo going to be Jeff and me when our children are old enough to trick-or-treat.

Of course we wouldn't want to copy them, I'd say when the time comes, Jeff can dress his son like a Murloc, and I'll dress mine like a Chocobo, then we'll be original :)

Bush and Rice: A cease fire is not a permanent solution to the problem.

Me: Yeah, but it will save lives while a solution is worked out.

Is it still democracy if the people didn't choose their newly instated democratic government?

I checked Facebook today and they want me to select and answer a security question. Only problem is I cannot answer any of them with a for sure answer. Here they are....

Q: What was the name of your first stuffed animal?
A: I don't even know what it was let alone the name of it.

Q: Who was your first kiss.
A: I remember bits and pieces of possible first kisses over my lifetime stretching from Kindergarten to High School. Which one is a real memory and actually my first kiss I don't know. And again even if I were to choose one I don't necessarily know their name.

Q: What time were you born?
A: 17 something. I'm too lazy to look it up to answer this question and when it comes time to answer the question, I probably won't be able to find anything that tells me when I was born.

Q: Who was your third grade teacher?
A: Surprisingly my third grade teacher is the only teacher I remember from elementary school. Really though, why do they ask third grade and not something more recent like 6th grade?

Q: What is your least favorite nickname?
A: I used to hate Goose, but now I like it. Other nicknames include Randy, Randoo, Rand, Randaroni, Duck, Slick, Handsome Young Man, and I really don't dislike any of them.

Q: What are your favorite pizza toppings?
A: Right now they're olives, mushrooms, and sausage. But in the past it's been cheese or canadian bacon and pineapple. But you never know when you'll suddenly change and won't remember what you put down.

Q: What was the first concert you attended?
A: I've only gone to a couple of concerts and they were with my folks. I really don't know which one was first or whose concert it was.

So there's the non-answers to my security questions. I think they're the most ridiculous questions they could have chosen . I could answer my third grade teacher's name but I don't know how to spell it. Oh well Facebook, no question for you!
